The Self-Bound Zip Pouch is a lined pouch which has been made easy for you to sew by the addition of some small design twists!
The panelled front and lining are joined before you add the zip. No fiddly turning gap!
The zip is longer than needed so that you can stitch it in with the fabric flat, then cut it down after;
The raw edges around the zip are covered by a self-made binding, and I show you how to attach it before stitching it in place;
The outer fabric is wider than the lining, so that you can fold it around to bind the sides, finishing the edges in one go;
You get instructions to make a cute fabric zipper pull, which you can make for any zip!
As a bonus, you also receive a tutorial for a panel made with fabric weaving. I call the pattern the Dragon Scale Fabric Weave, and it comes with a photo tutorial plus a weaving grid!
Finished size: approximately 8” wide x 6” high
The pattern is a simple, six-step tutorial with twelve photos, enhanced with graphics to make it clearer to understand. This pattern is made from pieces that you cut out using the supplied measurements, and is in inches so that you can use your favourite quilting rulers!
