Wrist Straps Four Ways Masterclass

I am slightly addicted to wrist straps! When I was younger, I bought a coin purse that had a keychain attached, and I suddenly realised that the trick to gracefully transporting drinks from the bar or hot coffee from the counter was to dangle my purse, keeping my hands free to carry without spilling. It was a revelation, and I am sure those around me appreciated it too! Wrist straps are even better, but not every pattern has the instructions.

Obviously, It could just be me that has these issues, but making straps of any kind is a useful skill to have anyway. It is another way to personalise an item to suit your needs. My friend, Vicky (from Sew Fabulous Fabrics) showed me a few years ago how to make a basic wrist strap. It was a bit of a eureka moment, and since then I have worked out some alternative designs, to change things up a bit. I have a sewing machine that copes well with layers, but I know that isn’t true for everyone. This masterclass gives you three extra options, as well as the basic design, all designed to help you cope with layers and bulk. I have also added a small section on using rivets and Chicago screws, plus instructions to add a connector in-seam.
